About Me

Hi, My name is Maria D. Del Angel.  I recently graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Texas State Technical College (TSTC).  I currently work full-time at TSTC as Departmental Secretary for the Developmental English and Academic Distance Education Departments.  I also have a home based business called StuffABearAndFriends.com.

I have previously worked at a childcare center as well as for the Head Start Program. My duties were to take care of the students, create lesson plans and assist the teacher throughout the day. I assisted them in explaining assignments and creating crafts with them I have always enjoyed working with children and making a difference in their lives. I like for them to learn something knew and I enjoy giving them projects that will help them explore new things or that will help them see from a different perspective.

Aside from my love for teaching and helping out students, I enjoy listening to music, creating crafts and spending time with my family. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s Degree through the BAAS Program. My short-term goal is to complete my bachelor’s in Summer 2011. My overall goal is to become a Bilingual Education Teacher at the elementary level.
